The Kairos School of Astrology offers a beautifully crafted online astrology training which takes students through from Foundation to Diploma level and on to practitioner status.
Its founder, John Wadsworth, has developed a profound body of work during his 35 years of experience as a practitioner, author, teacher and workshop leader. He takes a psycho-spiritual approach to astrology, dedicated to healing the soul. John lives and breathes astrology as a theatre of soul, a mystery school, a pathway of initiation and individuation. And it is his deep, experiential encounters with the planets and star constellations that inspire his poetic, evocative teachings.
The Foundation-to-Diploma pathway sits at the heart of the school’s formal training, but Kairos extends beyond it. Shorter astrology courses, experiential workshops and retreats, astrological pilgrimages, one-to-one coaching and consultations, and John’s books offer different ways into the same body of work. Together, they express the living, embodied and archetypal approach at the heart of Kairos.
This is an opportunity to experience astrology as a living, embodied practice. Drawing on myth, alchemy, philosophy, spiritual science and depth psychology, the training will enrich your symbolic imagination and deepen your connection to the natural and cosmic cycles of life.
You will meet the planets not simply as distant rocks or gas giants, nor as mere symbols on a page with fixed interpretations, but as archetypal presences that live in your psyche and animate the world around you.
The Kairos approach is an experiential one, incorporating a deep journey of self-enquiry into the birth chart. You will learn all the established rules and techniques of chart interpretation, but more than that, studying with the Kairos School will help you open up intuitively and imaginatively to the astrological art.
The Kairos Approach to Astrology
The approach we take at the Kairos School combines aspects of traditional, psychological and evolutionary astrology. Rooted in an archetypal framework, we treat the planets as characters who perform particular roles in the psyche and find expression in specific areas of life that correspond to those psychic functions. We offer an experiential, embodied astrological education at the school, one that is rooted in active imagination.
Our approach will help you to shift your perception of planets and stars being mere physical ‘objects in the sky' or abstract ‘symbols in the chart’, and move you toward an engagement with them instead as living metaphors, presences and energies that are rooted in our language, in our body and in the world we inhabit.
